Constance Bennett’s cause of death
Constance Bennett, a leading lady of Hollywood's Golden Age, passed away on July 24, 1965, at the age of 60.
Known for her elegance and charm, Bennett made a significant mark in the film industry during the 1920s and 1930s, starring in hits like Topper (1937) and Merrily We Live (1938). Her career spanned both silent and talking films.
Her father, Richard Bennett, was also a prominent actor, and her sister, Joan Bennett, was a renowned actress as well. The actress was married five times and had three children.
Death
Bennett’s death occurred on July 24, 1965, at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, following a collapse caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.
She was interred in the family plot at Arlington National Cemetery because of her military contributions and as the wife of Brigadier General Theron Coulter, her fifth and final husband.
Bennett was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, close to the star of her sister Joan.
